What kind of gift cards can I buy through RaiseRight?

RaiseRight offers eGift, physical, and reloadable gift cards. Earn from hundreds of brands across gas, grocery, clothing, entertainment, and more.

How do eGift cards work?

eGift cards are digital gift cards that are delivered electronically to your RaiseRight Wallet, which you can access via the RaiseRight mobile app or desktop browser. Use eGift cards from your mobile device while you shop online or checkout in-store.

How do physical gift cards work?

Physical gift cards are traditional plastic retailer gift cards. Depending on how your program is set up, physical gift cards can be mailed to your organization's address (by selecting Ship to Coordinator at checkout) or directly to your home address when Ship to Home is available.

What is Ship to Home?

Ship to Home is a feature that allows you to send physical gift cards directly to your home address. Select Ship to Home at checkout to conveniently mail gift cards to your preferred address. Find a list of physical gift card brands eligible for Ship to Home here.

What is a reloadable gift card? How does it work?

Many brands offer physical gift cards that you can reload on RaiseRight. Visit the Gift Card tab and filter by Reloadable to browse physical gift cards eligible for reload. When you receive a reloadable gift card, register it to your RaiseRight Wallet and keep adding money to continue earning while using the same card.

Can I send an eGift card to someone else as a gift?

Yes—you can send an eGift card to someone else via email on RaiseRight.com or the mobile app. On a brand's eGift card product page, enter the gift card amount, select Send as a gift by email, and follow the prompts to checkout. Your gift recipient will receive an email on the scheduled delivery date with instructions on how to claim their eGift card.

Are there fees associated with gift card fundraising?

Online gift card orders have a small transaction fee, based on how you choose to pay. 

Personal bank account (ACH):
  • If your organization has provided banking information: $0.29 flat fee per gift card order
  • If your organization has not provided banking information: $0.79 flat fee per gift card order

Debit card: 1% fee per gift card order

Credit card: 3% fee per gift card order

Are there any brands that offer both gift cards and online earnings?

Yes. Currently, there are about 100 brands that offer both gift cards and online earnings through RaiseRight.

Can I use gift cards for local dining or travel bookings?

No, you cannot use gift cards for local dining or travel bookings through RaiseRight.

To earn on local dining, you'll need to link a credit or debit card in your RaiseRight account and use that card to pay at a participating restaurant. The restaurants available through our local dining feature currently do not offer gift card earnings.

RaiseRight's travel booking site only accepts credit or debit cards. However, you can buy select travel-related gift cards or shop online with travel-related brands through RaiseRight.
